The Fair Oaks Community Center is a multi-service facility offering a variety of services to the broader Redwood City Community.  The Fair Oaks Community Center is located at 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.  Days/Times vary depending on the program or service:

Information & Referral
Food, Shelter, Housing, and other Emergency Assistance/Social Services.  Provided by City of Redwood City, Monday-Friday, 8am-11am; Mon/Wed/Fri, 1-4pm (no drop-in hours 2nd Friday of the month); Thursdays, 3-4pm.  (650)780-7500

Homeless Help Desk

Food and other basic necessities available for homeless individuals and/or families.  Provided by St. Vincent de Paul Redwood City Homeless Conference.  Monday-Friday, 1:15pm-2:15pm.  (650)780-7500

Mobile Shower and Laundry Service

Dignity on Wheels

Free Mobile Shower and Laundry Service for the homeless.  Provided by Dignity on Wheels, a project of WeHOPE.  Mondays and Wednesdays, 2pm-6pm at 2600 Middlefield Rd., Redwood City. (650)780-7500.

Homesharing Program

HIP Housing
Need a place to live? Need a roommate? Consider sharing a home. Provided by HIP Housing.  Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm. To schedule an appointment, call 348-6660 Mon-Fri or 780-7511, Tues & Thurs.

Peninsula Family Service/Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center
Exercise and fitness programs, nutritious meals, preventative health screenings, enriching classes and activities, information and referral for seniors. Provided by Peninsula Family Service, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. (650)780-7525

Childcare and Early Child Development Program

Redwood City Child Development Program
Toddler Program and Pre-School Program for children ages 1-5 years old with working parents. Fees based on family income. Provided by Redwood City Child Development Program, Monday-Friday, 7am-5:30pm (650)780-7520.

Immigration and Citizenship Services

IIBA
Legalization, immigration and naturalization assistance. Provided by the International Institute of the Bay Area. Drop-In Hours on a first come, first served basis on Mondays 9:00am-12pm (registration begins at 8am) and 1pm-4pm (registration begins at 11;45am). (650)780-7530.

Tenant's Rights Clinic

Legal Aid Society

Counseling, advice, and representation for evictions, disputes over the condition of premises, and illegal acts by landlords.  Provided by Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County.  Fridays, 9am-12pm.  Call (650) 558-0915 for an appointment.

Mobile Health Van

SMC Mobile Health Clinic
Drop-in health services.  Provide by the San Mateo County Medical Center.  Available every Tuesday, 10am-2pm. (650) 573-2786 (request schedule for other locations and times)

Spay and Neuter Clinic

Peninsula Humane Society
Free Pet “Fixes” for low-income pet owners. Provided by Peninsula Humane Society.  2nd Thursday each month. Pets accepted from 8-9am on a first come first served basis. (650)340-7022, ext. 387
