Drama Fun and Games
Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm
January 14 - March 25, 2009
$75 for 11 classes, VMSC Theatre
The Personal strengths of or students are nurtured by focusing on the
use of Improv Drama tools. Where we work with spontaneity, the “Present
moments” and our connections with each other, to create short scenes from
our lives -- both real and imagined. Drama activities such as “Group Portrait”
“Fluid Sculptures,” “Emotional Bus” and “Imaginary Telephone Calls” foster
creative expression; “Playback Theatre” gives students opportunities to
tell their important life stories, and for others to “play it back” to them in
action, which affirms students’ lived experiences. This approach provides
a supportive environment for students to take risks, build social skills, and
most important, to have FUN together! |
