Embark on a new journey to meet other homeschooled children and have fun while learning!
Children will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to enhance their home
school experience. Examples of activities will include: arts and crafts, science, cooking, bookmaking,
public speaking, nature walks and more! We will also engage in indoor and outdoor
physical activities that will encourage leadership, teamwork, build confidence and promote health.
Dress appropriately for active exploration and hands-on projects as we will be using a variety of
mediums and spending some time outdoors. Please bring a bag lunch and wear sneakers.
If you are a member of Ocean Grove Charter School, Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is a certified vendor. If you are registering through Ocean Grove, you will not be able to register online. You may drop-off or fax-in a registration form prior to delivering your ocean grove P.O. to reserve a space.

 Art Class for Homeschoolers- register now!

Our homeschool class encourages self-expression, socialization and
problem solving skills. In our fall session we will focus on drawing and
painting skills. Art history will be included in the context of art techniques.
We will also get creative with some fun seasonal projects!

Earth & Life Sciences

 Fossils Rocks & Dinosaurs- register now!

Perfect for homeschoolers! In the first session, we explore Life Sciences
and we learn about fossils, rocks and time, and even dinosaurs! It fulfills
CA standards 3a through 3e. These are hands-on classes, full of fun and
experiments. $25 lab fee payable to the instructor at first class for handouts
and experiments.

Perfect for homeschoolers! In this second session, we explore Earth Sciences
and we study the Solar System, including the Earth, Sun, Moon, and planets,
and their movements. It fulfills CA standards 4a through 4e. These are
hands-on classes, full of fun and experiments. $25 lab fee payable to the instructor at first class for hand-outs and experiments.

Freshi Filmmaking- register now!

Our Filmmaking program is a hands-on, immersive introduction to digital
filmmaking. Students work in small groups to make a film and each
student will experience all aspects of production. Under the guidance
of professional filmmakers, students will pitch, plan, shoot, edit, screen,
score and even copyright their movies.

Freshi Stop Motion Animation

Freshi Stop-Motion Animation Camp is a hands-on, immersive experience
that gives kids a chance to create an animated film. With the guidance
of professional filmmakers who have the passion and training to work
with children, young students decide how they will create their characters
(construction paper cut outs, Lego Figures, Action Figures, etc.)
to imagine, plan, shoot and edited their own films.

Tu 10-11am 11/10-12/15 CAB HOMESCHOOL
This course fuses story telling with voice over. Kids create their own
stories and characters and then using digital voice modulation actually
become the characters for their own animated project.

Freshi Game Design- register now!
Age 8-12

11/10-12/15
This is a program that allows kids to develop, design, debug and distribute
their own 2D games. Using special software, students create their game
without having to learn actual programming. They can also put their
own music, video, animations and photos into their games with a simple
click. In the early stage of the program, students work together with their
instructor to develop a game as a group. As they progress, they will be
able to work independently on their own games Don't just play - play
