Community Service Officers are non-sworn members of the department who perform a number of duties including taking crime reports, traffic control, accident investigations and parking enforcement.

In addition to assignment to the Patrol Division, CSOs are also assigned to the Property Unit, where evidence is stored, Code Enforcement, and the Investigations Division, perform as a liaison to the District Attorney’s Office, or to investigate cases of fraud and hit-and-run accidents.
